Gang. I'm freaking out a little. We only have 10 weeks left. Our crib is in a box in my mom's shed in Nebraska. The mattress to it is on a farm - a farm that belongs to people notorious for burning found upholstered items. The room is in dissarray and we are in need of a few key items still.
Ten weeks.
What happened to the time? How did it get to be week 30? I mean, I want her to come out - I really do - I'm just scared. I'm having nightmares of these horrible things happening to her because I'm incompetent. I have so many things left to get ready.
On the list of pretty great things, we got ourselves a copy of Pat the Bunny! Some friends of ours got us some books - Pat the Bunny, Goodnight, Moon and The Little Engine that Could. Yeah - naturally I've already read them and patted the bunny about a million times. They also got us a cookbook for how to make our own babyfood and what toddlers like to eat as they get older. It's pretty great, because I don't know what a 9 month old can and cannot eat - and here it is spelled out in the book for me!! One less worry for this neurotic mommy!
Bess is kicking away like crazy in there. She's really making herself at home - a lopsided home, but a home nonetheless.
...And considering how nervous I'm starting to get, she can get as comfortable as she needs to be!

No more books!!! I used these too but trust me. Once she comes out you just kinda know what to expect. And!!! You have several mommies around you that will give you their opinions on what "could" be done in any situation. Or, rather, what they did. You take what information you want, and you let the other stuff go.
