Our First Trip - 3 Months Old!

Well, we did it.  10 days away from home, and 7 of them without Daddy.  We drove across Iowa and back, we were held by everyone under the sun, and we managed to maintain our regular night-night time.  (Mommy was kind of a crazy stickler for it.)  Withthe exception of the last hour on our trip down (also known as Scream Fest 2010) Bessie was a little trooper.  She handled the trip with real class, if you ask me.  Better than I handled it!  (what?  I demand to know why Omaha doesn't have a Dunkin'!!! I demand!)

We grab our toes now, we play with toys and EVERYTHING goes in our mouth!

My First Mother's Day

Robyn and Grandma Connie were kind enough to share their Mother's Day with Beezus and I since Zach was away shooting a wedding.  Las Mananita's was delicious as expected, and Robyn and Connie were wonderful to us! That said, on the jewelry commercials the mom's are well-rested, their spouse is in the same state, they don't have barf on their shoulder, they eat a whole meal of food, and I have never once seen one of them scrub a toilet or wash diapers.

I'd probably be more chipper, but Bessie has been sick all weekend and I've been on solo parent duty.  Jeri Blank said it best when she said, "being a single mother was easier when I was neither single, nor the mother."
