8 Weeks/Two Months!
This big girl slept from 8pm to 5am for her big 8 week b-day. I also took a picture of Miss Bess out for Ladies Brunch. She's such a little lady!

SEVEN WEEKS - HITTIN' THE LINKS!
We had our first disc golf outing with Uncle Joe. Turns out we learned a few things today...
1. No matter how many times we say it, little old ladies will NOT believe that Joe is her UNCLE and not her Daddy. "You should get little socks like her's so she and daddy can have matching socks." Even if Joe were her father (and we grew up in Nebraska, NOT Arkansas) I am pretty sure he would not buy ladies socks to match Beezus.
2. With that said, little old ladies cannot resist poking at babies.
3. McDonald's in the suburbs is INFINITELY nicer than McDonald's in the city. Classical music? tres classy!
4. Being unemployed is awesome.
5. I'm pretty much always guaranteed to be the only 34-year-old mom out on the disc golf course with a baby. Even Joe is older than the general demographic, and he's at least male.

6 Weeks, More than 40 Winks!
Yesterday was Miss Bess' Six Week Birthday. Here's how she celebrated:
6:00pm - Bessie eats. Begins fussing profusely.
6:30pm - Daddy arrives home, relieves Mommy from fussy-baby-duty.
7:00pm - Small lull in the fussing.
7:15pm - fussing resumes, Mommy decides that perhaps her baby is hungry. Bessie eats again.
7:30pm - sleep, just in time for a few people to come over and have birthday cake with Daddy.
11:45pm - Mommy awakes in a panic. Bessie has not been awake or made noise. Mommy sneaks in to check to see that Bessie is still breathing.
1:15am - Mommy awakes in a second panic. Mommy instructs Daddy to check Bessie for fever when he gets up for Bessie Duty.
1:16am - Sophie gets in on the action. Mommy takes Sophie outside for runny butt.
1:45am - Bessie finally awakens.
4:00am - Mommy awakes in third panic. "Zach...Zach! Did she have a fever?" His response was to go back to sleep and enjoy the silence.
4:50am - Bessie awakens. Mommy gets up to feed her. She goes back to sleep.
7:00am - Bessie awakens for the day.
7:15am - Mommy and Daddy make a video of their triumphant baby.
Now if I could just shake this thrown out back...maybe next week...

Our First Easter
Despite throwing out my back (while bending over to give Bess a binky, no less!) we still managed to get ourselves to church and then over to Robyn and Jeff's for an amazing Easter Feast!
We're getting close to the 6 week mark. Already we're smiling so much more, and on Friday she actually batted at her toy mirror a few times!! So smart!
