Wednesday marks week 37.
I'm physically feeling it. Contractions late at night. There is no amount of water that can stop this hand swelling, and Zach had to stop me from dismantling the fridge for cleaning.
We're just sitting here, waiting for our lives to change.

WEEK 36: ANY DAY NOW (?)
Well, we have 29 days to go. The room is ready, the car is cleaned out and the car seat base installed. We've moved the cradle in to our room, and my bag is packed. There is literally nothing left to do but wait.
I start my weekly appointments starting Tuesday. I don't really want her to come this week (since my camera won't be here until Monday!) but starting next week I'm going to start trying out all of the wives tales on the internet I can find. I know I shouldn't rush this - she'll never be this little again - but I have good reasons for wanting the next 29 days to fly by.
Check out this huge belly! I know it will get a little bit bigger, and if we think of it, we'll take another picture closer to the end, whenever that may be - we're really just on Bessie's time table now. It's kind of surreal to know that any time between now and March 3rd (due date is Feb 17) there will be a tiny person occupying that room. Every time we look in there and see her things we both go, "BABY!" and walk on by. Maybe we're just reminding ourselves that she really is going to be joining us soon.

WEEK 35: KIND OF HUGE
Hi Everyone!
Boy, am I tired! And I am sleeping, just very uncomfortably these days. The extra weight in conjunction with the huge belly and the difficulty breathing make it hard to find a suitable position. I wake up a lot during the night to re-position myself. It's only 5 more weeks, though, so I can make it through.
Monday I was so tired when I got up that it was a very close call when I almost applied Chapstick to my armpits because I was thinking about deodorant. Thankfully I caught myself in the nick of time!
Courtney was over the other day and got to experience Miss Bess dancing to the music and having the hiccups.
Along with my hugeness has come 3 offered seats on the train (the train - not the bus. the people on the busses are pigs) and while I haven't accepted (I am capable of standing) it's nice to know I don't just look fat and wide anymore, but actually pregnant!
Next week starts our weekly appointments! We can hardly wait!! She was already head down at the last appointment so hopefully she can hardly wait, too!
I'll get a belly picture posted next week along with a finished nursery picture. (We'll miss you, Aunt Meridith, but you're only 5 blocks away!)
TTFN,
Emily

WEEK 34: B LOVES TO JAM
We're 6 short weeks away from the arrival of THE WORLD'S GREATEST BABY EVER TO HAVE BEEN BORN EVER, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ANY SIBBLINGS SHE MAY HAVE, THEN THEY WOULD BE ON EQUAL PLAYING GROUND AS MISS B, BUT ONLY THEM, AND EVERYONE ELSE PALES IN COMPARISON....
Anyway, we're 6 weeks away from Miss Bess' eagerly anticipated arrival, and we've been noticing something interesting about her. She loves to jam. I thought that one time we were playing Beatles Rock Band was a fluke, but now - she LOVES music. Any time there is fairly loud tunes jamming, B is dancing away in my womb. (And I mean ANY TIME - jam jam dancy jam - the choir was particularly loud at Christmas church and I thought I was going to wet my pants in the pew. At the movies...forget it. Kiddo loves the music)
Zach got out his big head phones and placed them on my belly last night as a little experiment, and sure enough, she was dancing and punching away (was it to the beat or was it my imagination) as we let the tunes play.
We're going to start doing this every night for not only our amusement, but also so she'll grow up with good musical taste. (Did I say 'good' taste? I meant 'impecable.')
Well, with only 6 weeks to go, we're closing in on the finish line. It will be fun to see how many more of these posts will be 'in utero.' Gentlepersons, place your bets!!
Later skaters!
